Seasons change. Some are fast-paced or filled with adventure, others are a little slower and less eventful. Some include major life changes, while others revolve around a monotonous daily grind. Some leave our house messy, and some leave us time to clean.
In all seasons, may we seize the opportunity to shabbat (stop) and simply enjoy life. Not the things we fill life with—job, tasks, hobbies, mementos. But real, breathing life. The people that surround us with love and joy, laughter, support, and comfort. Pause today (and make time for it each week) to really see their smiles, take in their voices, and appreciate them while they're here in this season.
